Hey Krishna there is something wrong over here. When i hover the mouse over your link i see mokshis.com/wp-login.php but when i click, it redirects to mokshis.wordpress.com/wp-admin. What do i have to do now?

In reply to: IP address and FTP username of wordpress.com blogjust a couple of days ago. I was successful in doing so, thanks to kmessinger and i had asked for a site transfer before posting over here. And they replied to my mail after i failed to set the proper IP no and FTP credentials.
Going through this forum i got to find the IP addresses.But is my admin username and PW to login to my admin panel, the FTP credentials??

Since you have updated the DNS on your domain to point to your Hostgator account already, I am unable to log in anywhere to download the files for your website.
The link to the control panel from Automattic is only for the registration of your domain name. It doesn’t show any web hosting products.
Do you know what the IP number of the old hosting account is and the FTP username and password?

Today i received a mail from HostGator stating that i updated my DNS to point to my hostgator servers, so they are unable the files in the website. Now they are asking for the IP no. and the FTP username and password of my old hosting account. Kindly could you suggest where i can find those.You can test it yourself to have an idea what exactly is happening:
mokshis.com/ wp-admin redirects to mokshis.wordpress.com/ wp-login 🙂Followed the links and have set the new nameservers. Was relatively easy. Thanks a lot for the useful links, kmessinger.
P.S: Got a pop-up box with a message, will be effective within 2hrs or at max 48hrs. Had earlier asked the HostGator people to transfer the site. So fingers crossed, lets see what happens. Meanwhile i will be in touch with you.

Ok. Could you please suggest how to edit my DNS and the formats, coz it seems to be a highly technical stuff and i am new to wordpress and DNS and stuff. In the text editor how do i have to specify the nameservers using those formats?
Thanks kmessinger for your concern. No i haven’t changed my DNS yet. It was confusing with all those A, TXT, C and all that, even though i have my server names with me. I have asked hostgator to transfer my website. But do you think i would be able to sort out the problem once i change the DNS ?
