you realise that the reason the shortcodes are displayed like that is so the shortcode doesnt activate within the website as the gallery plugin is active right? as using [album id=1 template=compact] would just display the album with template and therefore wouldnt be a very good shortcode example.
Also the website states “Always remove the spaces before / after brackets”
