– I use Firefox 50.1.I made a new test, using an image called
test élève garçon.png, with Chrome (version 55.0) this time, and I got the same result: spacing were correctly replaced with “-“, but special characters remained in the file name:test-élève-garçon.png.Then I also switched my Mac computer to french, did that last test again in Firefox and Chrome, and it was the same result.

Small correction: the resulting name did not have any spacing (unlike what I wrote above, or what the WordPress comment system did to what I wrote), so that was not an issue. Just the special characters.

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget Extended] Poorly writtencssI agree that those “!important” shouldn’t be there, it makes it impossible to override. The only way is to completely remove all the plugin’s styles, and add your own custom styles. It’s all or nothing.
So the suggestion to the plugin author is to remove those !important declarations. Does that make sense ?

In reply to: [Gallery Carousel Without JetPack] Cannot set gallery typeYou could use this other plugin: Tiled Galleries Carousel Without Jetpack – it has different gallery styles included. Deactivate (or uninstall) Gallery Carousel Without JetPack first, to prevent conflicts.
I also found it useful to have the switcher visible in the front-end – and it works, thanks to your suggestion. Now changing themes is really fast – and I uninstall the plugin anyway when I’m ready working on the site. (Too bad the styles don’t show up in the front-end, but I’ve added them to my own css as a workaround.)

Hmm, it works indead. And I didn’t do anything to make it work. Not sure what happened. I guess something changed in the facebook frame page.
