    Hello there,

    Thank you for your helpful reply.

    I tried both disabling the easy social share plugin and turning off all the optimization settings in WP rocket as well as disabling it but the problem is still the same. Without the migration plugin, the site is working fine only buttons are not working in edit post page. For now I have disabled the migration plugin.

    I have also updated my theme today as a new update was released recently but it also didn’t fix it.

    As I can check in the console, it is referring to files in WP Includes for errors like:

    /wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/slider.min.js?ver=1.12.1
    wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/mouse.min.js?ver=1.12.1

    https://prnt.sc/192v9mw

    Does that mean there is something wrong with my WordPress installation?

    I have even deleted the WP Includes folder and replace it with a new one downloaded from the WordPress site.

    One of my other websites is also running the same theme and plugins but there is no such problem with it.

    Seems like I temporarily fixed the issue, I just installed the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and checked the site as mentioned on your FAQ page but it was not working. Then I went into plugin settings and changed jQuery Version from “Default from WordPress” to Legacy 1.12.4-wp and things started to work normally on both sites.

    How do I figure out which plugin or theme was causing this problem so that I can ask the developer for an update?

    My problem with “publisher” theme is still not fixed, any suggestions? I reenabled the theme after jQuery plugin and the site worked for a few seconds then went down again. After enabling debug mode, it says:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function publisher_get_global() in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/publisher/includes/func-layout.php:495 Stack trace: #0 /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/publisher/includes/libs/better-framework/shortcode/class-bf-shortcodes-manager.php(139): bf_get_current_sidebar() #1 /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/publisher/includes/libs/better-framework/shortcode/class-bf-shortcodes-manager.php(178): BF_Shortcodes_Manager::can_init_vc_shortcodes(‘better-social-c…’) #2 /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/publisher/includes/libs/better-framework/shortcode/class-bf-shortcodes-manager.php(115): BF_Shortcodes_Manager::factory(‘better-social-c…’, Array, false) #3 /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/publisher/includes/libs/better-framework/shortcode/class-bf-shortcodes-manager.php(77): BF_Shortcodes_Manager::init_shortcodes() #4 /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/publisher/includes/libs/better-framework/class-better-framework.php( in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/publisher/includes/func-layout.php on line 495

    Okay, so maybe I’ll try to reinstall the plugin and check if it pops again.

    Are you 100% certain that it’s a false positive and the site is not infected?

    Hi Erik, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I understand that it might be a false positive but if this shows up to a visitor, I don’t think they will ever return back to such site.

    Also, I checked my other websites on which contact form 7 is installed but none of them showed this issue. Is it because of this latest version?

    Is there a way to stop this other than reporting to Avast because I’m not sure when and if they will fix it? Or should I switch to a different contact form plugin?
