Oh sorry for the bad description.

Our former Social Media Icons Plugin (“Hupso Share Buttons for Twitter, Facebook & Google+”) had a Shortcode ([hupso_hide]) which you can use anywhere in post-texts to hide Social Media buttons/icons for specific posts. You place them manually in a text (it works like your function of displaying the icons manually).

I think providing a possibility to hide icons manually is better than to place them manually because in most cases you want to display icons (doing this manually would take to much time). But sometimes we don’t want to display social media icons in our articles. In these cases it would be nice to have a shortcode to say to the plugin “no, in this case, do not show icons”. Do you understand?

    Hi,

thank you for the quick response. I know about the function to display them manually. But I don’t want to do it this way because it would be a lot of work to do it for the hundreds of articles on our site. Having a code to hide the icons where you don’t want them to be would be easier I think.

Is it possible to provide such a shortcode?

    Best,
    Sandra
