I click on “reply” and it doesn’t go anywhere, it just stays stuck. I have to reply to comments by going to the actual post itself, logging in as myself, and then typing a reply.

I have tried deactivating all the plugins. First in batches, then one-by-one, and nothing seems to work.
I have used Google Chrome on a Mac, I have tried Safari on a Mac.
The browser doesn’t seem to be the issue. It seems to be WordPress itself.
It is almost as if the buttons are missing a link of code to the rest of the pieces, like when I click on a link, I can give a URL to it, but when I try to then go into advanced settings to make it “_target” open in a new window, it just stops.

In reply to: Cannot use buttons in WordPress5. Sorry, I forgot to mention that I also cannot seem to edit a post at all, and have it stay formatted properly, it sort of just squishes everything together and removes all the paragraph breaks / spaces.
Thanks for any help / input / insight you may have. I’m tearing my hair out.
