Thats not a specific Yoast issue but you can go to your sites folders via ftp or through your hosting providers access and edit the .htaccess file to remove what you added that killed it. To accomplish what you were attempting, you should be able to do so via your hosting providers control panel (cPanel or whatever) and update the settings (PHP options most likely) not by the .htaccess file.

In reply to: [Heartbeat Control] Settings didn’t transfer@jeffmatson, so what would be the default timing if set as you mention above? If you want it for posts only and 60 seconds as the OP showed will your recommendation accomplish that?
If I were you, and you know thats when you got locked out,I would access your site via FTP and rename the Yoast plugin folder (its called wordpress-seo) then see if you can get back into your site. Sometimes plugins misbehave and cause problems. That should at least allow you to get back in and your site back up.
Disclosure: I am not affiliated with Yoast just another end user offering assistance that may help.

@oceanwatcher Click the advanced view on the plugin site. There you will find the previous versions.
Thanks for the info.

In reply to: [SearchIQ - The Search Solution] Exclude Posts/PagesHow exactly do you exclude particular pages?
Looks like 6.0.16 resolved this issue. Thanks!
@pframe seems to be on target. After clicking a page (and nothing happens) the page you clicked on actually loads if you press F5 to refresh.
Setting “Track outbound clicks and download links?” to NO will solve it for now as well. I expect another update if forthcoming if I were to guess.
Same here. WordPress 4.7.3 on 2 sites are broken. As @tlindner stated setting Tracked outbound to NO seems to resolve the issue.
I had the same issue in 4.2 and just had to go back to the settings> “titles & metas” section then “enabled analysis” and re-enable readability and keyword items there.
Not seeing it either. Even their site is showing 4.0 is the current version.

In reply to: [SearchIQ - The Search Solution] missing search box since new versionI think I am good. Came to reply that I did in fact copy live database to staging some weeks ago due to another issue so I reset config totally and re-applied API key on staging and that seems to have solved it. I see you came to the same conclusion regarding the database (good find). Interesting the issue didn’t appear until I updated staging site plugin version. Anyway I think I am good. Thanks for the quick response! Appreciate your time and help!

In reply to: [SearchIQ - The Search Solution] missing search box since new versionI will give that a try. However I already have 2 search engines setup. One for each site. Both work on 1.4.12. So could it be that I only updated the staging site and not the live site to the latest version? I typically use staging.x.x to make sure plugins dont break anything and once all is well THEN I update the live site. Certainly I can try and update both to the latest if need be since I can go back if I have to. Thanks for the info!
