Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: No longer to edit code on Classic blockCorrect. I work at a marketing agency, so our content writing includes headers (<h2>, <h3>) that need to be reformatted, which is mainly why I used it.
However, “If you simply copy the content from Word into the block editor, it will remove everything for you,” is simply incorrect. When you copy from Word, there are extra non-breaking spaces that are added between paragraphs and bullets, it doesn’t remove it for you. You have to manually delete every extra space added.
It was just easier to do it in the code editor. I don’t understand why it would be removed as code editor also comes in handy for additional formatting on images, buttons, etc.
Yes, we had to change the URL because we had no way to stop the redirect for the old URL path from going to the image. We don’t want to deactivate the plugin as we use it for our sitemap, metadata, and a lot more. Here is a screenshot of what we see with the redirect tracing tool if this helps: https://ibb.co/MfcGgWP
Hi yes, sorry for the confusion, I am seeing that, but this page and others are still being indexed by Google, that’s the problem. We use this tool to ensure pages don’t get indexed, yet they still are:
