Same problem… but all my blogger posts were successfully imported in WP … 🙂
I had problems with the encoding, (é, à , …) so I had to manually edit all my posts, but apart from that, I must admit that I had no problem doing the import 🙂

Can you just release yout current archive page ?
And, if possible, another archives.php version, including a little box containing all categories (not a big sidebar, just a category box on the archive page) >> a sidebar would not be needed anymore with that superbeefed archives pages :-))
And, if possible, a links page
