I also have the problem that Google Maps extremely slows down the loading speed of the page and would like to load the scripts with defer parameters.
Is there any news about that?

Sorry, you’re right. It was another reason after updating to WP 3.5.
I fixed it and now everything is fine again, PHP Code Widget is working with WP 3.5 and I’m glad about that.

Sorry, forgot to say that the characters I use are german like Ü ü, Ä ä, Ö ö and ß.
I also have the problem with IE8 like fresco_dougal. Please have a look at your demo-page http://demo.graphpaperpress.com/photo-galleria/ with IE – newest WP and Photo Galleria, same problem.
