I tried what you suggested and switched it to row & grid view where it is easier to reorder but it did not work. In my case, the gallery with 95 images partially works as expected but only for the final 30 images in the gallery.
Just sent a login to ([email protected]) for the dev site so you can see for yourself.
Do you have an ETA for the fix?

galleries with 45 and 15 it is working as expected.
