I have a similar problem. I have updated yoast seo to 7.6.1. The meta box in the posts has disappeared, The wizard configuration isn’t working anymore (I just see a blank page with a “Close Wizard” button), also in the post page the yoast icon (the traffic light icon svg) is HUGE.
In post page i get the following console errors:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/plugins/seo/css/dist/alerts-780.min.css?ver=7.8 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/plugins/seo/css/dist/adminbar-780.min.css?ver=7.8 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/plugins/seo/css/dist/wpseo-dismissible-780.min.css?ver=7.8 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/plugins/seo/css/dist/select2/select2.min.css?ver=4.0.1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/plugins/seo/css/dist/toggle-switch-780.min.css?ver=7.8 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/plugins/seo/css/dist/yst_plugin_tools-780.min.css?ver=7.8

Mind you, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the plugin. The behavior remains the same.
In the wizard page i get the following console errors:

I have the feeling that the plugin hasn’t installed properly. Can someone help me fix this issue please?
