Thanks everyone for the feedback….I set up the blog awhile ago but still recall that I had a specific reason why I created the /home directory. The strange thing is everything was working great for months, then it broke somehow. (I haven’t been involved in the day to day support of the site just its setup)

Yahoo has a site “snapshot” feature that we may try next…in order to get the site back to the way it was before.

Another thing I noticed is that the WordPress version is not quite outdated….I set it up with version 2.0.2 and now we are up to what? 2.6 and soon to be 2.7? I am thinking what might happen if I tried upgrading the version? I’ve never done that before.

Okay, a few hopefully simple questions:

    1. Where do I actually FTP the flv movie file I’m trying to play within a post? Or should I use the upload button on the “Manage – Post” page?

    2. What does “heart” mean here in this line: <param name=”movie” value=”/heart/flowplayer/FlowPlayer.swf” />

    3. Where do you specify WHICH specific Flow player you want to use (classic, light, dark etc)?

    4. I got this error message when I put [PLAYER=filename] in my post…maybe it’s complaining that I haven’t actually specified a file name?

I just tried the Web-based Bloglines RSS Reader and it had no problem seeing either my Podcast or Blog RSS feeds so I am feeling good about that. Now I’m just waiting for iTunes to get back to me and that should tidy things up.

By the way, do I need to do something to my WordPress setup after iTunes starts displaying my Podcast feed? I thought I recalled something like a iTunes ID number or some such in the WordPress management console. Ever hear of that?

    Vkaryl,

I found the correct code in the header.php file towards the bottom and commented it out…it looks good, I hope iTunes and various RSS readers will still see the title. From my limited experiments it does seem to be working.

Part of the problem is that I am using Sage as an RSS reader within Firefox, I think maybe I should try a dedicated RSS client (if that’s the right term)to see how that reads my pages…still am puzzled about only the comment feeds showing the title.

But thanks for all your help, appreciate it!

As far as I know you can’t edit the file from the page you are talking about, you can just see it’s contents and I’m not even sure if it’s the current content or just the default content.

In any case, I find you have to edit the files directly on the server. So you could copy all the code from the window you are talking about and paste it into a notepad document being sure to save the file with the right extension such as .php

Then you can make your edits but you still have to then UPLOAD your revised file to the blog’s server and replace what’s their now. You normally would use a FTP tool for this however your ISP may provide you Web-based tools where you can see into the directory structure of your blog and upload your revised file that way.

Sorry if I am confusing you.
