Thank you for the reply here. Any emails you may have previously sent did not arrive in my “IN” or “spam” folders.
I did receive your Gmail message and will follow up via that address.

Love the basic widget pack and I’d like to make a request for future updates:

My org’s donors often make memorial gifts and it would be nice if the “Recent Donations” widget included the “In Honor of…” or “In Memory of…” comment in the donation, even if the donor intends to remain anonymous.

Thank you – love the plugin and addons! Clients happy. Webmaster has joy. 😉

    Hi Geoff–

It turns out that there was a buggy update of WP core that threw off many javascript and jquery plugins. (I had several unhappy customers that were using jQuery-heavy themes.) Once an updated release went out, everything went back to normal.

    Weird.

But yes, I was using the latest version of the plugin and the only custom template in place is the one I designed and that was working previously. 🙂

If you’re contemplating updates to the plugin, may I respectfully suggest a scheduling feature that would allow data for a show to be entered but would appear in the listing at a time in the future. I’ve got an artist with specific “announce dates” and life would be sooooooo much easier if I could just load these up and let WP make them appear at a designated date and time.

    Here’s GigPress in action: http://www.rikemmett.com

    Thanks for replying!

BTW the only workaround at this time (which I had to do this morning) was to edit the database manually via phpMyAdmin.

    Client happy. Webmaster vexed.

    I’m having the same problem.

    Steps are the following:
    I create a new date.
    Create a new venue
Fill in the blocks with the proper info
    Hit the “save” button
Error message comes up (“Something ain’t right”)
The actual date selected is still active.
The new venue is added to the list of venues
The new post has been generated
The show specifics are nowhere, so the post has to be put in “draft” mode ntil this gets figured out.
Yes, it persists. It’s impossible to add more shows.
No, I can not create shows that do not belong to a tour. All show types are affected and there are no “tours” listed.

I’m using Chrome at the moment but the problem is on all browsers.
Site is hosted via InMotion hosting w/ CloudFlare CDN.
I’ve been managing this site since 2012 and GigPress has been used on it since 2010 w/ a previous developer and this is the very first time I’ve seen this error.

    Bad timing. Real bad.

Exactly the same problem here. Was working less than a week ago, I open up my site and edit some of the widgets with the above result.

Thanks for replying Jeffa nd Andres.

wp-debug produces exactly the same result – a 500 error. It is not possible to delete the database settings the way you describe because the *instant* that the plugin is turned on, it is impossible to navigate to any other page (500 error)

Andres – all MU files are in the correct location on installation. There is no change.

    Following up…
Even downgrading to version 4.1.1 breaks my WP 3.8.1 site.
Had to remove it via FTP and all is well again.
Really hope you find the bug and will gladly help if it’s an oddball combination of plugins (I’m running a very complex site w/ e commerce, paid registrations and phpBB). Don’t want to have to run without it.

Same here. White screen of death (generic 500 error) when selective plugin loading is turned on. WP 3.8.1, no multisite. Using 5.0.2 version of plugin.

I don’t know the fix for this but I see the same thing after upgrading to WordPress 3.7.1. Other functions still work, like when a user registers but the admin interface is having trouble w/ the new WP.

Don’t have a solution myself, looking forward to it from the deeloper.

Yes it is. First thing I checked. 🙂
Deactivated, reactivated, reinstalled…. it’s the phantom plugin!

    Holy cow…. i stand corrected.
The latest update (9.2.4?) works perfectly, even with the eMembership plugin turned on.

Check it out (not the final URL and there’s no content, but that will come later) http://www.rikupgrade.com/forum

Watch your paypal for a little something – you could charge for this plugin given the issues w/ bbpress

I’m using Dreamweaver 5.5 to edit all files on the site. So the PHP file is already in UTF-8.

Are you sure about the BOM?

Hmmmmmm…. Just gave it a try and there was progress.
(Try = eMember is still active, I duplicated context-switcher.php for backup and copied the code linked above into the file, uploaded, then activated WP United.)
The entire install did not fail, however the theme was broken (just bb content displayed without theming, etc). So that’s getting closer. What do you make of this:

I don’t mind testing it out at all. Now’s the right time since the site is not quite in beta.

Clarification: the plugin that United is conflicting with is WP eMember, not e2member. It’s created by tipsandtrickshq.com. To be fair, they state flat out that they did not test this plugin with any forum other than bbpress so what we’re attempting here seems to be a first-time experiment.
