In reply to: Need Help removing “noindex” robots filesThanks guys for the help!
I was able to narrow it down to a specific plugin, like you said.
I have contacted the author and they provided an update. Problem solved.
Thanks again!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Need Help removing “noindex” robots filesIf I deactivate all of my plugins, will I lose all of the settings, or will everything still be there when I turn them back on?
My theme has been the same for years, and everything has been fine. If I do change themes, and then change back, will I lose all customization?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Need Help removing “noindex” robots filesHi Craig,
Someone told me that when my site’s url was typed directly into a search engine, only one page was showing up. I checked with the ‘inspect elements’ tool in the Chrome browser and found this in the code:<meta name=”robots” content=”noindex,follow” /><style type=”text/css”> .ssba {
Also a tech guy from my hosting site said:
these guys have a serious problem
the site is not indexing properly
let me send you a screen shot, they have “noindex” robots files in their code
the screen shot is just one example
but i’d be willing to be these little buggers are found through out their site because Google is only indexing one page on the site right now. i can also confirm that the “noindex” robots files are on the home page as well.
do they not have any idea how that could have gotten there?I checked the settings, and that box is not checked.
Thanks
