I tried adding the suggested

add_filter(‘add_shortcode_html_buttons’, ‘__return_true’ );

in my child theme’s function.php file, but the short codes still don’t appear in the text editor when I click on them.

Thanks again for your prompt response and concern for our minor crisis. Everything, as it turns out, was caused by errors and misinformation by the hosting provider’s support people. Not your mighty little plugin. 😊 This particular migration between accounts simply proved to be much more difficult for everyone concerned. But we’re all fixed now.
