Don’t worry I have figured out how to manually add the stats by editing the php. Cheating I know but it looks so lovely. I have no idea why it wasn’t working. I seems so random, pulling in some stats but not others. The link to Facebook, YouTube and Feedburner all work but the stats did not. Twitter and Google plus work fine and pull in the stats. Weird.
If you figure it out let me know. In the meantime I will just keep changing the figures every now and then.

Thanks for looking at it again but that is not our Facebook page. Ours is http://www.facebook.com/mathsfactor which has 432 likes and is well established. The page you found is nothing to do with us. However I tried it in social crowd to see if it would work and it wouldn’t. I wish I could put something in to give the illusion of it working.

Thanks for the reply to my query about the Facebook stats not showing up, when the Twitter and Google+ ones did. You said it was an incorrect vanity id but that is not the case. The vanity id is correct. If you hover over the facebook link it displays the correct address. If you right mouse click to force it to open in a new browser or tab, it does take you to our facebook.com/mathsfactor page. However just clicking on the link does nothing in Chrome and in Firefox.
It is a mystery as Facebook stats worked on two of my other wordpress sites … I do wonder if it is something to do with the new Facebook pages. Anyone else had this problem?

I am now trying the social crowd widget on another of my wordpress sites. This time I do not get an error for youtube, but it does not pull in any stats. It also does not pull in any stats for Facebook, though it seems to be working fine for twitter and google+.
Any idea why it cannot get stats for Facebook? I have tried the id number and the vanity id with no joy. It is anything to do with the new facebook pages timeline? Is there any code I could change to get the facebook like stats to work? http://www.themathsfactorblog.com The widget is on the front page there.
    Here’s hoping you can help.

I’ve turned off the option for youtube in the configuration settings for the meantime and it seems to be working. Thanks

Thank you for replying. No it has not made any difference.

Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in /misc/27/146/939/502/4/user/web/social-i.net/marketschools/wp-content/plugins/social-crowd/social_crowd.php on line 218

Still the same error message. It is a shame as it is such a good looking and useful plugin.

I have the following error using social crowd …

Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in/misc/27/146/939/502/4/user/web/social-i.net/marketschools/wp-content/plugins/social-crowd/social_crowd.php on line 218

    Any idea?
