Both the theme developer and the plugin developer could not find the issue.
Therefore we can assume that TranslatePress and Kalium should be marked as not compatible.
Switching to WPML.
@ancavictoria Did you ever follow up on this? Are you sure it was always working for you? That would make it even more strange, as there is no caching happening.
Thanks, Armin.
I have one of the Theme Developers, who is now also checking what the issue might be, but he has not found anything yet.
They are willing and hopeful that you can figure out this mystery together.
You can follow the conversation with the Theme developers here: https://laborator.ticksy.com/ticket/3430020/
It must be some interference with your Javascript code.
Best, Armin.
Hi Anca.
I just tested it again and it is still not working correctly. It usually works after just switching the language. But than you click to another page and it only shows the english content after reload.
Please see this video recording: https://recordit.co/d1QyU0NuAU
This is with all plugins disabled except TranslatePress, ACF Pro and one or two others that are needed. The behavior is the same.
Can you record a screen recording of you not seeing that behavior, please. I have tried it on different machines (Mac & Windows) and always getting the same behavior.
Of course WordPress, the theme (Kalium) and all plugins are up to date.
Best, Armin.

Glad I could help 🙂
Hm, okay, that IS strange if its working on the other website. I get your point, but I think the negative impacts outweigh the positive. You should post smaller images and provide a link to the full size. Or at least lazy load the images, so it only loads the image when you scroll to it. Otherwise it will really negatively impact your SEO rating, because of the large size of each page (>10Mb). Maybe you could have just one smaller image at the beginning of the post that is the width of the content (1080px), which will still look perfectly fine on all screen sizes and then have the large images in the content.
It could be that the recipes plugin stores the images in a different way and doesn’t create the alternative sizes or something like that.
But you could try setting a featured image on one of the recipes and use a smaller image and just see if it works then.
If it still doesn’t work than I guess I am out of suggestions.
Just had a look at one of your recipes. Facebook is pulling the correct image, but not showing it. And I think its probably because the images are very large (±4000x3000px). Thats a really bad idea to use such large images.
You should definitely do something about those. I recommend a plugin called Imsanity. It automatically resizes your images to a sensible size on upload. Also something that optimises images like EWWW Image Optimizer.
Better even would be to use responsive images, so that smaller versions get loaded on mobile.
Your featured images shouldn’t be larger than around 1500px.
You should be able to choose the size of image it uses in the posts, just dont use “full”, but instead choose for example the “large” size. You can see what sizes you have set in the media settings and there are also really good plugins for creating more sizes.

Here is what I did to fix this the other day. Use http://opengraphcheck.com and check where there is an og:image set on your website. I can see on your home page there isn’t one set.
After some digging in the Yoast SEO code, I saw that yoast expects a featured image and somehow fails to get to the backup image (the one you set in the Yoast social settings). I saw that the page that is the home page didn’t have a featured image set, because that also doesn’t appear anywhere on the website. As soon as I set the featured image, it was showing correctly in the Open Graph tags. Facebook pulled the correct image when posting the link.
Do you have a featured image set on the posts that dont show an image?
Hold up! Think I found the culprit – it seems that W3 Total Cache Minify is causing it.
Nope, just tried changing the facebook title, description and image for a post that scrapes fine on facebook and no changes. Still not scraping the correct info, but at least it shows an image.
Just did a little test. If I use the facebook debugger to scrape an old article it scrapes all the info fine, even tags, locale, etc. As soon as I update the post and scrape again, all the info is gone.
Could it be that an update to Yoast SEO is messing up all the facebook data??
This is marked as resolved, but I cant see which answer is resolving the issue. I have the same issue. Many posts, all with the same structure and Facebook title, description and image set in the Yoast SEO box. But 1 article (http://thepouringtales.com/nikolay-kiselev/) wont show the image at all on facebook, while all others work fine. Its also not using the description provided in the facebook tab of the yoast seo box.
How can we debug whats happening?

In reply to: [Business Hours Indicator] Today’s opening hoursActually I think its not ideal to have 2 plugins. It should just be one plugin and you can unlock the pro features once you have paid for a license (like W3 Total Cache and others). That way you only have to maintain 1 changelog, 1 plugin page on ww.wp.xz.cn, etc. In fact the Pro doesnt even have its own page, which is not good. I know it might be quite a big change, but I think its worth the effort to simplify!

In reply to: [Business Hours Indicator] Today’s opening hoursHm, I cant seem to update it. I updated Business Hours Indication to 1.8.4, then it was showing me the update for Pro 1.0.2. After I updated it gave me an error that the plugin didnt exist and checking the ftp, the folder for the pro plugin is empty. So something messed up the update.
I only have the download link from your email and I reinstalled that, but its version 1.0.0 and its not showing me that an update is available any longer! Can you just email me a link to the new version with a brief description how to use the new features. Thanks!

In reply to: [Business Hours Indicator] Today’s opening hoursThank you! Do you have a rough estimate when this might be finished?
Could I make another PRO request. We use a kind of special time format. It would be great if I could somehow enter my own time format using the gmstrftime formats. Our special format for example is: ‘%HH%M’, which shows like 21H00 (don’t ask why .. designers.. ;).
