You’re right, that worked! Thanks for all your help!
If you are open to feedback, I would suggest that it would be very helpful to have some sort of error reporting that alerted me a failed upload. Even if the error message didn’t tell me what the formatting issue was, but just acknowledged a failed attempt to upload a file, that would be useful. The fact that no message appeared at all lead me to believe that there was something wrong with the upload process, instead of a problem with the way I formatted my file.
Again, thanks a bunch.
Ok, thanks for the tip on formatted. I reformatted my file to comport to the format in the tutorial. Here is the file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19dvBjJIjAQgPXSaYrL2nRPx3Z6NVew7Q/view?usp=sharing
Take a look to verify the formatting, if you would. The file will not upload. I click “import”, then the file, and nothing happens, exactly as in the video I uploaded.
I really don’t think my file is even being imported to be evaluated for proper formatting.
Sure. I replaced the strings with dummy text but kept the formatting exactly the same. Here is the file:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CfVUnOkI4Xt0DVvpD4XPDiNP_qnTzioT/view?usp=sharingI did this (formatted in JSONL – a simple set of 10 questions/answers) and it makes no difference.
I believe the issue is in the upload process – it does not seem to complete. It seems that at least in this installation, it does not work.
Again, when I click import, a file explorer window opens, and then I select the JSONL file. The file explorer window closes, and nothing else happens. I see no process of uploading, no indication that the file was successfully received.
I think you can best see this by screen capture. I’ve uploaded it to Youtube so you can see my experience:
https://youtu.be/_sAhJM73UeAI beg to differ. I tried your solution and it did not work. I then hired two separate WP developers and both of them gave up after hours of trying.
I tried this:
[events show_pagination=”true” orderby=”_event_start_date”]It did not make a difference. Any other ideas? I would really like to order events by the day that they begin. It seems to me that this should be the default way to display events!
