Many thanks for your quick response. I’ve just realised the licence key was inactive. I’ve reactivated it and the problem is sorted. Thank you!
Hi Peter,
Please excuse the html around the apostrophe ascii code. No, it’s not in the metaboxes. I was just trying to show you the ascii code without this page rendering it as an apostrophe. Now I see that I needed to use backticks!Peter,
One other thing, I managed to sort out the ascii code earlier this afternoon but hadn’t had time to come on here and post my update. Before I changed it, the ascii code was being used in the title/description for the page. It is showing fine now because of the changes I made this afternoon.Hi Peter,
In the metaboxes (by which I mean the fields displayed in the default page of the pages section), the titles and descriptions all look fine apart from the ascii code which only affects some of the boxes (some of the apostrophes are showing normally). It’s showing the whole of the ascii code for an apostrophe (&# 39; – excuse spacing- can’t work out how to show the code). Interestingly enough, when I go into the relevant pages, all the apostrophes are rendered normally (ie no ascii).UPDATE – I have managed to fix the problem of the ascii characters displaying in the metaboxes by editing the relevant fields in the pages themselves. I deleted the apostrophe and readded it, then saved the page and the ascii code disappeared from the metaboxes.
However, the fields that were affected by the ascii remain uneditable in the metaboxes. By that I mean, when I click the pencil image/edit link nothing happens. When I click the same link on a box not previously affected by the ascii code, it shows the dialogue box for me to edit the field. When I edit one of the problematic fields via the page, the changes save fine and are reflected in the metaboxes.
FYI, I only installed the app a few days ago. When I first added the meta data, I did so via the metaboxes (not in the pages themselves) and the problem with the ascii and non-editing boxes appeared straight away.
The site is live so it’s hard for me to switch the theme. I’ll try turning off the other plugins but I’m not running any other SEO plugins.
I hope that all makes sense! Do come back to me with questions if not. I love the app despite these issues. Much appreciate you coming on the forum to help with support requests.
Many thanks.
Hi wpsmort,
Of course. I can’t give you a link to the wp_admin page obviously, but here’s an example of a page where AOI SEO has left the text as ascii. It is pages like this that I am now unable to edit the title and description.

In reply to: [Suffusion] Suffusion custom template: problems on FacebookHi, thanks very much for getting back to me.
I have now filled in all the social media sections for the site over all and the homepage. I’m using Yoast SEO plugin and suffusion’s own SEO settings. I had left out suffusion’s own settings in favour of the plugin but they are both complete now.
Sadly though, I still get the same issue with Facebook…

In reply to: [Suffusion] Problems with display of widget on custom layoutHi SomewhatRounded,
Thank you so much for your replies. Both were very helpful. By removing the height adjustment so that each widget keeps its own height, the slider now fits in its container.Without the auto height adjustment, the page won’t look so professional though. I can’t work out why when the template calculates the height across a row it goes for the smallest widget, rather than the largest one. That seems crazy!
That works a treat. Thank you chrillep.
