Thanks.
We have many WordPress Network installs, perhaps it would not be so bad to have it once on the Network Admin or the Prime Site and then not have to see it on every child site.
So dismiss it once, and have it globally dismiss.
Besides, lots of other no-so-friendly plugins hijack that space for their nags as well. So you are just another annoying box to dismiss and site admins are just ignoring and becoming blind to that area.
Just my thoughts.
I did that the first time I saw the error.
I had a backup of the plugin previous version.
Glad I did not update the plugin on all 200 + sites
Waiting for the update.
Thanks.
this is the same issue as
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/php-error-with-v9-1-0-in-back-end/#post-15732960
I have the same issue.
Not that I know of…
I only run a scan about every 3 months usually on a holiday or early
Sunday morning. So far what I do is disable all other plugins first.
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, indeed that’s the nag I’m talking about.
Yes I can dismiss it.
It’s just frustrating and it seems other plugins are doing it as well.
Wondering if the plugin was network activated if you could have some sort of global setting that would allow you to dismiss it globally.
Thanks.
Thank you for fixing it and letting us know.
When I saw the second plugin update I assumed it was a bug.
Otherwise the plugin is fantastic.
Just wish the dashboard nags – “how do you like the plugin so far..” would stop. I manage 100’s of sites and don’t need to be asked over and over.
@peterbutler Yeah we use this plugin extensively on hundreds of sites and I started seeing this pop up about the time of your post and I was hoping someone would respond.
But what I learned is sometimes the message is in black text and sometimes it’s in red, perhaps clickable to something. I did notice that I could not start a scan or the scans were slow. But what I did was disable the following list of plugins. Note all of our sites are on network installs so I disabled them network wide,
1. Redis Cache (First I flushed, then disabled, and then disabled the plugin.)
2. Cloudflare
3. WP Optimize
4. Titan Anti-spam & Security (I’m guessing it’s this one as this has been a problematic plugin from the day they made the upgrade to a paid version. I’m still using the free version.)
5. Smush ProOnce I did that, the message did not go away but my scan began to fly.
Hope this helps.
I googled the error message, and parts of it but found nothing worthwhile.
Also I’m wondering if GFForms is part of Gravity Forms which we use on all sites and I can’t disable that as all the forms will stop working on all the sites.
Wondering if anyone knows anythinh.

In reply to: [Redis Object Cache] Since update to the latest version Drop-in: MissingYes thank you, we do mostly only multi-site (network installs) some with over 150 sites.
Agencies that manage many sites and do multi-sites are sometimes the forgotten step-children. Plugin developer’s often have the mindset that plugins are only used on single-site installs.
My pet peeve is developers using my dashboard for notices that are really ads, I have to see and dismiss a hundred times a day.
