In reply to: [Adamos] Hide 'Featured Text Area' on homepageHi again,
I worked it out based on your suggestion. I can hide the featured text area in Adamos theme by adding the following style…
.featuretext_top {
display: none;
}…thanks for your help and a great theme.

In reply to: [Adamos] Hide 'Featured Text Area' on homepageHi there,
No, that didn’t work. Perhaps I should have mentioned I’m using the Adamos theme. (Sorry, I should have mentioned this in my original post…d’uhhh).

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Thanks. I have requested my ISP to make the change.
I also noticed something new that’s worth mentioning. When I have a fetch tweet widget running on its own, all is ok. When I add an additional widget (as per previous post) tweets stop updating.
Now I’ve noticed that if I remove one of the fetch tweet widgets, say, my screen name widget and move it to Inactive Widgets in the WP dashboard\Appearance\Widgets…tweets do not update. But if I actually delete the widget….tweets update.

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
I up’ed the WP memory limit to 120MB but it made no difference. I’m sure now I’ve located how to reproduce the problem. It looks like the problem arises only when I have two widgets existing side by side on the same frontpage. In this case tweets do not update. But once I remove one widget, the other widget updates. In my case, I had two widgets, one for my screen name and the other for my timeline or a list. Once I remove the screen name widget the other widget updates perfectly. I have tested this scenario on two sites on two different servers, starting at PHP 5,5 and moving up to 5,6. In both cases, one site has all plugins disabled except fetch tweets, the other with various plugs enabled, but the result is the same. If two widgets are running together tweets do not update, and when I remove one (the screen name rule), the other widget updates. While I really did want to have both running together, I can live with having one running on ceolaguscraic.com, and if anything changes please drop me an email.
So, many many thanks for your time and patience with me on this ticket, especially you prompt responses over the Christmas period. Your time, patience and work is very much appreciated as is, of course, your excellent plugin. Anyone reading this post who appreciates the time spent on this and the Fetch Widgets plugin should really consider making a donation to support its development.
Go raibh mile maith agat Michael.

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Well, some good news to report. On the test site, it looks like tweets are updating. These tweets are coming from a rule list. There is only one widget active on the test site (there is only one sidebar)
I have the same list rule on the live site. But the live site does not update. The PHP versions on both sites are 5.6. The difference between the two sites is that the test site has only one sidebar running a list-rule widget, and the live site has three columns, with a screen-name widget on the left, and a list-rule on the right…
…so I removed the screen-name widget from the left column of the live site…and now I have only one and the same list-rule widget running on both test and live sites and tweets are updating. So it looks like issue may be with the screen-name rule on the live site.
More good news is that all fields in your Server Information plugin 1.1.1b04 are populated.
But for sure when I took out the screen-name rule on the live site, then tweets are updating on the list-rule. So it could be that for some reason there’s an issue having two rules together on the same page. But let me have a play with things and I’ll come back to you with what I find. I’ll also send you on the complete Server Information output shortly.
Thanks again Michael.

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Got it, and it looks busy. WordPress and Admin Page Framework fields are unpopulated, but everything else has info’. I’ll fire what I have over to you via your contacts page.
There are no errors regarding Fetch Tweets in the debug.log file.
Cheers Michael,

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Sorry about this…I hope I’m not missing anything, but I don’t seem to have access to the download anymore. Under 1.1.1b branch there are only two releases, 1.0.0 and 1.1.0. I don’t see 1.1.1b03 anywhere and the older link to the 1.1.1b zip file seems be be gone.. Is it somewhere else? Let me know and I’ll setup and let you know the result.
Cheers Michael…

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
As always, many thanks for your time on this. I applied the latest Server Information version. WordPress, PHP Error Log, MySQL Error Log, Web Server, Plugin, Admin Page Framework are unpopulated. I fired what was collected into your contact page.
The contents of debug have not changed and I don’t see any errors in the debug file related to Fetch Tweets. So as you say, I’ll keep an eye on it over the next few hours and let you know if I see anything.
Thanks again Michael.

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
I just tried that. It took a few minutes and then the debug.log file appeared under /wp-content/. Thanks Michael. By the way, I cleared the tweet cache on the test site before I took the contents of the debug.log file (see below)

Michael, I noticed a /logs/ folder…in here there is a file called error.log. There’s a few entries but they all look the same (see below). Does this mean anything?
Web Server[2014-12-28 08:54:51] [core:error] [client 66.249.67.118:18189] AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ‘LogLevel debug’ to get a backtrace.

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
I’m sorry to report but I think I may have another issue. I put the code into wp-config.php on the test site like you said, but no debug.log file appears under /wp-content/ (or anywhere else!). I double checked to make sure I was saving the wp-content.php file ok and I can see the enable error logging functionality code you said to put in are definitely there.
The only things I can see under /wp-content/ are four folders, plugins, themes, upgrade and uploads…no debug file 🙁
Am I missing something Michael? Maybe something else to turn on?

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Thanks for coming back again so quickly. Yes, your new plugin looks very busy with information, so 1.1.1b is looking good. I copied the contents and submitted them via your contact page :). I hope it sheds some light.
Thanks Michael.

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Thanks for the updated plugin. The plugin installed no problem, but when I go to Server Information all the fields (Client, WordPress, PHP, etc) are blank. But the plugin email did work 🙂 and I’ve sent you the result via your contact page.
Thanks again Michael.

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Thanks. Unfortunately, it looks like you’re also right about the email report of the plugin not working on the server – the report email failed. But I did manage to send you some info via your contact form. I hope it’s what you were looking for. Let me know if you didn’t get it. Thanks again for your patience and time Michael…
…and Happy Christmas!!!

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi Michael,
Well, that’s great news…and I also noticed that tweets on the test site (search rule for a single twitter account) is updating fine. So you’re right, it must be something to do with the live site. I sent you the report as you requested and some additional info’ from the ISP as a comment that I’m sure you will understand better than me!
Thanks again for your patience with me Michael.
Best regards,

In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] Tweets not updatingHi again Michael,
SessionPod has sent a new tweet today, but unfortunately it is not appearing under the sessionpod site screen name rule (unless I clear tweets cache manually – but I’ve left it uncleared for now for you to see)
Under the test site I created a single search rule for one twitter account. Tweets appeared only when I setup the rule and applied in the sidebar widget, but unfortunately do not update. Sorry Michael.
