I discovered a solution.
Look at: http://www.thainy.com/2007/05/how-to-use-html-tag-and-script-in-wpmu-text-widget/
Basically WPMU strips out the script content unless you make this edit.
Note: widgets.php is in wp-includes.
I’m having this same problem. Whenever I paste adsense code into a text widget (even if it’s the only widget active) it won’t save into the text widget. That means I can’t get any adsense code working.
I’m on a Mac using Safari.
Adsense is only working on one of my WordPress Mu 2.5.1 blogs using the Options theme. It won’t work on Standard WordPress theme or Massive News theme. The one blog that I have been save the adsense code into a text widget – the ads are coming up in french.
Help.
