Hi John – that worked a treat http://www.hatchtown.com/ The Instagram Feed display is 2nd down on the right sidebar.
But, how would I add the circle profile image back in and position it either centered 1 line above or below the “@hatchtownfarm”? Also note, I’m trying to keep “between lines” spacing tight
Thanks for the speedy reply! Jim

If you change to something other than the default structure, do you still have this issue?
I don’t understand what you mean by “change to something other than the default structure” …
In Settings, the Permalinks are “default” as you say “http://shepherdjim.com/?p=123”
What change would you suggest?

In reply to: Why no subscribe-to-posts option in WP.org?I’ve been trying to track down a solution to this very problem. Does anyone have Mark Jaquith’s ear? I figure he has the knowledge to add the rest of the “feed subscription” options to his plugin “Subscribe to Comments”

In reply to: Media Library Unwieldy: Plugin Suggestions?I just wanted to add my voice here. We have 393 images on 20 pages and I am about to bulk-upload another 20+.
I’m hoping there’s some way (a plugin would seem to be the obvious) to either arrange media in folders, or at the least, maybe just apply tags which enable “finding” the images you’re after via a “Search”.
WP’s ability to filter only by “date” is sort of sad.

PS — I’m going to post this question on the Atahualpa Forum where a lot of clever people hang out.
Okay! It’s been 3 days since that last post.
I’m getting the “invalid cert” thing

Has anyone here heard anything??

I think I’ve determined that the problem is ONLY happening in MS Internet Explorer — we get the usual text editor opening up in which to type a reply when on the “Edit Comments” page using Firefox.

In reply to: Comments Feed NOT in FeedburnerOkay! You guys are too slow! I *think* I solved this prob myself.
I subscribed to the working comments feed at my webiste. I then went to my RSS feedreader, right-clicked on the comments feed and viewed its properties/details/whatever. I Ctrl-C copied the feed name.
I then logged into my acount over at Google Feedburner and Ctrl-V pasted the comments feed name right into the “Burn a Feed Right Now” box right there on my main account page. Clicked “next” a few times and the feed was “acquired” into Feedburner.
I only understand half of the whys and wherefores, but all seems good now.
I still feel that someone needs to sit down and arrange the whole “feed thing”. When everyone is super blasé about something and seems reluctant to discuss it in much detail I always figure it’s because they don’t have any ideas what they’re talking about and are just bluffing their way through. If anyone out there has a full handle on feeds they’re all 16 yearold male geeks and are completely incapable of expressing their thoughts in sentences intelligible to the rest of us.

In reply to: Help! I broke my WP installation! Thanks samboll! I learned a bunch by picking my way through the Codex articles you pointed me toward. And. I was eventually able to get WP running again. Quick story: I had had to re-do the password for the MYSql database at one point when trying to access it with PHPMyAdmin. Of course, that new password had to be updated in the WP files.
Now! I’m back to wanting to take our WordPress website “live.” I want to leave WP, that’s all the WP files AND all the “blog” files, in the /wp/ subdirectory. But, when people come to http://www.hatchtown.com I want them to see the WP installation instead of the old http://www.hatchtown.com/index.html.

In reply to: How to Get Started with the WP e-Commerce plugin??Yeah, I know. On the Instinct site there are fairly complete descriptions of what you’ll find on the many, various pages/screens. But no real discussion of why you might want to do something one way rather than another …and no guidance on any sort of step-by-step, first you should do this and then this.
Two of the most experienced forum moderators/contributors have put together a 125 page pdf manual that they sell for US$37.00 which I have now purchased. It’s pushing me up the learning curve a little more quickly, but the WP e-Commerce plugin is HUGE and COMPLEX and I’m still in the forums searching for answers and posting questions.
I will still appreciate hearing from other forum members here who have been using the plugin (or competitors) and have anything to say.

In reply to: Best Text Editor? …pls save my marraige!Whoa Ipstenu! AWESOME!
YOU have saved the marriage! My wife, not a techie by any stretch, has become pretty comfortable with MS Word 2007 and Picasa over the last year. I was expecting her to be very upset when she started to deal with the limitations of the teeny Dashboard post editor window.
I owe an apology to Microsoft. I’ve been using Word for something like 30 years …have mostly ignored all the bells and whistles they kept adding to the program. But, the ability to blog with formatting right from your laptop is a BIG BELL! …and there are even a ton of image presentation options that we have not explored as of yet!
Thanks again! Jim
