It is all about the Gutenberg editor that comes with WP 5.0 … Try to install the Classic Editor plugin and everything will be OK. That was at least what solved my issue plus I erased the theme and uploaded a fresh copy of its latest version. Crossing fingers you will have luck with this!!
P.s. Not updating WP is not such a good idea but I think you know that already.
I am experiencing the same issue and as advised did all possible steps from changing the theme to switching off all plugins… still I have no success 🙁 Any thoughts?
It would be great if any support member could comment this issue…
