In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] Deprecated function with PHP 8.1Thank you for the update.
If you don’t mind me asking, when you mentioned the error, does the website not load at all or is this a warning you see in your logs or when you enable debug mode?

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] cloner.phpHey there,
cloner.php file is used by our Backups, Restore and Clone tools. When a backup, clone or restore are started on your dashboard, cloner.php file is uploaded to the website root and when completed the file is automatically removed.
In case it is not removed automatically you can safely remove it once the process is complete.

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] Update option does not show in WordPress dashboardHey there,
Can you let me know if this website is perhaps hosted on GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress hosting? If that is the case, Worker plugin updates should be handled automatically as it’s part of the hosting package.
I would like to look into this a little further, could you send us a ticket from the Pro Sites dashboard directly with additional details?

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] php 7.2 compatibilityHi Sergey,
Worker plugin is fully compatible with the PHP 7.2, the warnings are there since we try to maintain a backward compatibility with older PHP version in the same plugin.
When Worker plugin is activated it will detect which PHP version is running and in case that its 7.x, parts of the code that are triggering warnings and errors will not be used.
Likewise, if it detects 5.6 for instance, this part of the code will be used.
This way you can switch between PHP versions on the fly and you won’t have issues with ManageWP functionality.

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] Connection Key issueHey,
my apologies for the late reply.
This may happen due to a multitude of reasons and it would be best to send us a ticket directly from ManageWP dashboard with additional website info so that we can have a closer look.
We had no reports that Gutenberg Editor caused connection issues but we’ll be happy to check this out for you.

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] PHP 7.1 compatibilityHey there,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
No need to worry, Worker plugin is compatible with 7.1 and newer versions of PHP.
The warnings you receive are there because we try to maintain compatibility with older versions of PHP with a single plugin.
When we detect that you are using PHP 7 or newer, parts of the code are used for 5.x versions of PHP are not active.
This also allows you to switch between the PHP versions without having to worry about ManageWP functionality.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Ah my apologies, I did not realize that you were referring to the notification on the WP-admin dashboard when the maintenance mode is activated.
I’ll notify our developers about this and they’ll look into it.
Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused, and if you notice anything else just let us know.
Kind regards,

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] Remove notificationHey there,
This can happen in rare cases, and the easiest way to resolve this is to reinstall the Worker plugin on your website.
After the reinstallation just reconnect the website and a banner will go away.
