Hi @dizzyatinnocraft from what i can tell, no we arent using any plugins that install other plugins?
but this is the first time setting up wordpress and matomo together

generally i have a seperate matomo instance setup on a seperate server and we just add the JS tags into websites, but this client wants matomo to run directly within the wordpress itself for compliancy reasons

and hense the bug report because i just could not add the BotTracker (for example) using the marketplace option on the side, either using the bulk add OR simply clicking Install

P.S my original post you closed was re-opened had a much more break down of what the errors was and what ive tried etc

HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!

i have just had a random brain wave when you said ‘have you downloaded it directly and installed it manually’, so i downloaded the zip via the link you gave, then spent a few mins trying to work out how to upload it using matomo ui as the is no plugins menu anywhere (unlike my normal seperate setup)
BUT i then realised i could upload the plugin using the wordpress plugin option instead!
so i uploaded it there, and then activated it and BOOM, in the matomo ui now, i see the BotTracker option!

thank you for your help at least getting the plugins to be installed manually!

im still confused WHY the marketplace option under matomo will let me download/install it at all tho?
