One single workflow.
Trigger -> welcome email -> one day delay -> email -> one week delay -> email.
- v1.14.0
- I subscribed. Double optin: received 1 email, 1st email in automation: received 1 email, 2nd email in automation: received 2 emails.
I was previously receiving up to 4 duplicate emails. I flushed Redis and disabled it and duplicates seemed to stop. I also deleted the automation and created a new one just in case. However, now there are duplicate emails again.
Okey dokey, flushed Redis and now I’m getting a single Welcome email.
Sorry for the noise, just needed to get this up and running ASAP.
Alright, links are working as expected now. Adblock seems to do weird things with the web form – sometimes reCaptcha doesn’t work and MM generates weird email links.
However, I’m getting 2,3, sometimes 4 Welcome emails. Any clue what that’s about? There’s (obviously) just one in the automation.

Ok, I think I may have figured it out. When using a browser with AdBlock, it seems to sometimes affect reCaptcha and also the way MM generates links. Using a browser with no plugins or extra security features, things appear to be working as intended. Still testing….
Also, sometimes when trying to submit the customer facing form, it gives me a red error message: “reCaptcha is required”. Sometimes is doesn’t and works fine.
I’m using reCaptcha on contact forms on the site and they never fail.

Basically it seems that MM is generating links with wp-admin in the path.
Here’s a good example. Just a basic link in an email (copied directly from the email):
That should go here: https://superself.me/book-a-call/
If I’m logged into wp, it goes there. If I’m not logged in, it goes to the home page.
It seems that links simply always go to the home page unless I’m logged into wp on the browser I’m using.
- I have double opt-in email activated. I filled out the subscription form on the site. On the MM dashboard it shows the user as “pending”. I then go to the email and click the confirm subscription button. No matter what browser I use, I am taken to the homepage of my website instead of the confirmation page. If I’m logged into wp-admin on that browser, it goes to the confirmation page and MM dashboard shows user as “subscribed”.
- I’ve tested multiple mobile and desktop browsers. Chrome, Safari, DuckDuckGo.
- The subscription link is the default one that is pre-populated ({{link.subscribe}})
- Interestingly, I found the same behavior with a basic text link I put in an email. It always goes to the home page instead of the actual page it’s linked to. Unless I’m logged into wp-admin.
- Another interesting thing I found is that sometimes if I delete a link (for example {{link.subscribe}}) and just put it back in, it starts working. But then it stops again. I’ve tried flushing Redis and page caches but it those don’t seem to make a difference.
