I’m creating a page on my WordPress blog website to promote my small business and I need to share the pitch page via a subdomain link.

Thank you, I figured out how to create the slug.

Just an FYI, I decided to create a fresh WP install and see if there might be a way of restoring the old install?

Just for information, I am working from the online installation and not the offline localhost, in case anyone wants to see the current errors.

I’ve manually updated now instead of database connection error getting this:

Warning: require(/home/wholthmw/public_html/wp-includes/version.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/wholthmw/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 33

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/wholthmw/public_html/wp-includes/version.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php72/usr/share/pear’) in /home/wholthmw/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 33

This is what it says on line 33 in wp-settings “require ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/version.php’;” any thoughts? Thanks

Yes I suppose it’s possible the update was incomplete I will perform a manual update. I forgot to mention I confirmed the DB name, host, user, password in phpMyAdmin compared to with wp-config.php and they are identical, as for adequate permissions, do I still need to have that for a localhost offliine WP install? Thanks
