Long and short of it was the blog was ‘compromised’ by people who have nothing better to do. Deleted it all and renewal withdrawn. My experience with WordPress then is not the best. I’m going back to use the blog available with my website hosts, which isnt as pretty, but far far more secure.

Ive tried to use the reset my password through through phpMyAdmin, and ive followed the steps listed.

I can see all the ‘rogue’ users listed, but do not see my user name. I have checked the content and the images are definitely mine, so correct site. But it appears I myself have been removed from the table.

Is it possible to insert an admin user through phpmyadmin please? If I insert my own details, then surely I would be able to take control back of my own blog.

Any ideas why my user details would be removed at all?

Hi thanks for your response – I have spoken to hosting service and they said they could not change passwords for WordPress and would have to do so here.

The problem is my user name is not recognised so therefore cannot change password.

Ill have a read through the links and see if I can get resolved.
