In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Update to 3.1.33 Broke My SiteHello,
Could you do some troubleshooting by disabling other plugins/theme and see if there are any plugins that seem to be causing the guzzle conflict? We would like to see if there is something we need to work around (another plugin) or if it still is broken without anything else activated.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after updateThat is correct. We updated a lot of the vendor packages to help bring things more up to date. So now you will need at least PHP 7.3 in order to run the plugin.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after updateThanks for the confirmation @mgc
It should be better going forward as we have reduced the plugin files by A LOT. So the slowness this time was probably just because it needed to clear out some of the old files.
Have a good one!

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after updateHey everyone,
We just pushed out 3.1.33 today. It should address a lot of the issues that have been going on. The plugin was extremely bloated and for some users causing issues installing. We have trimmed things down a lot. You will need to make sure you are running PHP 7.3+ now as well.
Thanks for your patience while we worked through this!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This has been addressed in version 3.1.33 that we just pushed out.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after updateCurious why GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress hosting & SiteGround Shared Hosting experienced and/or is experiencing this issue.
We actually did a live test of this on a Siteground hosted site using the GoGeek plan and there were no issues for us. It’s possible it could be a PHP timeout issue, or it could possibly be something else on the site that is slowing it down. The site we tested on was a pretty light site, so maybe a bigger site with lots of plugins or processes is causing the timeout to occur. Just a thought while we look into this more.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after update@mgc Are you deleting the files first or just replacing them? If you are just replacing them it could cause issues since a lot of the vendor files were updated (and some may no longer exist)
@kzeni Thank you for giving us so much info about your hosting. It definitely does sound like a server timeout issue. It seems to only be happening to a handful of people so at this point it seems less like the plugin is causing the issue, but instead some type of server/host configuration. The more info we are able to gather the better idea we will have to help everyone.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after update@adminnetwork Thank you! Just remove the whole ‘google-calendar-events’ folder completely and try uploading 3.1.32 after you confirm it has been removed.
Thank you for doing this as this helps us hopefully narrow down what the issues could be!

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after update@adminnetwork Do you have access to using FTP? If you deleted the plugin from the admin area and tried to re-upload and it said the directory already exists then it sounds like the folder wasn’t completely removed.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Critical site error after update@kzeni To confirm, you installed 3.1.32 manually and it fixed the issue for you?
This could be the case for others as well then. The error that is popping up is if you are running a version of PHP less than 7.1+
Could someone try deleting the plugin from the admin and then installing 3.1.32 through that “Add New” and searching “Simple Calendar”? If you do this, just make sure that the option to delete the settings is not enabled that way all of your calendar settings will stay saved when you delete it.
We are still looking into this issue to find out if there is anything else we can do to get it working for you all.
