  • These messages tell you when old files, and functions are no longer supported in WordPress.

I came here to figure out what to do about them too.

How do I figure out which plugins are using it?

Ah. I see, so I need to understand which plugins are using it in WP in order to understand why it has suddenly created these large files?

What is a mystery to me is that I don’t have ImageMagick as a plugin in my WP for this web page. If we used it at one time, it was removed before my time. I’m not sure where these files are being generated then!

I had gracious help, learned how to rename or delete the Headway files until I could sort out the conflict (which involved updating WP), and am going with an earlier version of the theme for now. I did not lose any content, and know a whole lot more about my WP directory system and my host server! Thanks for all who lent tutorials, advice, and support!

So, you have been very very helpful. I have my site up temporarily using twentyeleven, and the all the content is there.

I was using Headway (paid) as a client of a friend, and it was trying to load it myself that got me into this. I now know so much more about how my site operates, and how to protect things.

I think there are plenty of places I can figure out how to make sure I preserve my files, and then I can go to Headway to figure out how to upgrade.

    Thank you ever so much!!

O.K., I have the database on my server, as well as backed up on my computer. I was having a conflict with the Headway upgrade, and the restored version of WP. I deleted the Headway theme folders from my server, and now I have my Dashboard back. The public page is blank and white I need to leave a “under construction note” while I am figuring this out. My page structure is there, my links are there, but there are no posts. I have all those stored in separate files in Google docs, but I am not sure what sequence to follow next, or if those files are also in the backup, or the database on the server.

My apologies for being so new to this. I am trying to learn quickly.

I have been using Headway, and I want to upgrade to the current Headway, without having to completely recreate the site. I am not sure what sequence of steps to take, and I don’t see anything exactly like this on the forucms.

Thank you! I did check the posts section in Admin, and for all my pages there was no content at all… but I have my website backed up on my host servers. I have more work to do, as I tried to restore from the backup, and now I cannot use Admin because the theme needs WP 3.2 and the backup was made with 3.0…

I can tell this is going to be one of those learn by mistakes moments, where the consequences of rushing in without knowing what I am doing will be that I remember this well, and document it!!!

    Thank you Zeaks!
