Helps a lot and makes things easier
Sorry, but that’s not true. It all works fine, but not with your plugin. I will have to look for another solution.
I just put in the email-adress as the user, together with the correct password and the portnumber 587 (this was told to me from my provider). Server is localhoast. So what could I change?
???? I’ve done nothing wrong. What should I fix?
Hello Javier,
now I found the time to set up the smtp, but it also does not work. It throws an error message, starting with this: Test Message Sent, The result was: bool(false)
I asked my provider for the correct Port-Number, used the e-mail-adress as user, together with the password. And there’s no possibility without SMTP? The same mails (all test-mails) are not detected as spam in other cases.
What do you mean with “configure your own SMTP”? Sorry, I don’t understand.
Hello Javier,
yes, for example with Contact Form 7 it’s no problem.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Emails not sentHello Javier,
I aready wrote you a mail and you said I shoud ask my question here in the forum. There it is:I’ve got the same problems like in some of the posts above. After importing or updating users, no emails are sent. I tried with checked checkbox and unchecked checkbox. I use the WordPress default mail settings, not SMTP. Would be great, if you could help me with this question.
Thanks
Gaby
