Yeah, read up some more and it was quickly obvious, sorry about that. Personally I’ve been using hosts and servers that I can configure myself, but this is a first time I’m fiddling with a site hosted at wordpress.com.

I did post the exact same question on wordpress.com’s forums as well, but it seems to be a real pain to have an actual answer from there. And as it stands, I’m baffled that this really seems to be the only option when mapping some pre-registered domains – to ask for a staff member on a public forum to map a domain for you.

Seems like an unbelievably and frustratingly unwieldy way to get this done.
