I’ve also tried with Twenty Twentyone, and it has the same problem.
When you Google “thumbnails uses full size image WordPress” you can see that many other similar plugins has had this issue..

To be specific. I’m using the Manual Selection of posts when this is happening. But it’s also happening in other circumstances.

First of all, very talented developers. This is one of the coolest plugins I’ve ever come across on all of WordPress.
But I have a problem, and I’m wondering if it’s happening to everybody.
I use featured images on my posts in a resolution of let’s say 800×1200. And I’ve re-generated thumbnails many times now. But the plugin doesn’t reliably use the correct resolution thumbnails. It’s almost 50/50 if it chooses the low res thumbnail or the full-resolution image.
I’ve checked this so many times, by publishing the post with the plugin. And opening the (“thumbnails”) in a new tab. I think many people won’t do this. But this is how I uncovered the issue.
It will significantly reduce site speed.
Have you seen this issue before? Can you see if you can replicate it? I disabled my plugins too and tried on 2 different WordPress installations.
But still, nK, it’s a very cool plugin. If it worked for me. I’d rate it 5/5 easily.
