BUT now that renamed category keeps showing up checked as default. how do i make no default (pre-checked) categories in my blog?

Also….I would like to customize other things as well, for instance:
1) how to change the text in “search” field to a customized word.
2) how to change the order of the different links (Pages, Archives, Categories, etc)
3) how to change the background image/color of the pageThanks for any help you can offer.

I had the same problem as the OP (original poster). I have no problem renaming the category, but I can’t figure out how to rename the categories on Word Pad. Help!?!?
I am on a MAC system, so I can’t right clight. How does one rename categories with Word Pad?
