Well for me, the preference is front end. This is a club of very non-techie users, and I have made the dashboard and admin bar unavailable to them. Some of them will get confused or intimidated by seeing settings etc. I’ve done a little UI design work and in my experience the less confident a user is, the less they will look around…they pretty much only see what is right in the middle of the screen (so I would offer email functionality via a dedicated page).

    Excellent, thanks.

If you’re looking for things for your ‘to do’ list, the thing that would make this the perfect email plugin (for me, anyway!) would be front end sending for users. That does seem to be the feature that no other plugin does, or does very poorly.

I’ve seen a number of requests for it, and no elegant solution yet.

The requirement (for me, and the others asking that I’ve seen) comes from running a club website. We want members to be able to email all other members, without having to circulate an updated mailing list all the time.

    Other than that, great work.

All sorted, somebody elsewhere gave me the PHP.

That’s done it, thanks very much for that.

Tried it in the parent theme style.css, the child theme style.css and in the child theme custom css box (in options). None of these seem to have changed it….?
