In reply to: [Smart Custom 404 Error Page] Doesn't load my 404 pageProbably I’ve found a soultion that works for all combinations. I’m currently testing. A beta version will be available the next few hours.
Finding a method that works for all possible combinations is a tricky task. If the solution I’m currently working on does not solve all the issues with v 2.0, I’ll add an option to manually switch between v 1.x method an v 2.x method.

You can use 404page version 1.4 in the meantime. It can be downloaded from https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/404page.1.4.zip.

Please reactivate the 404page plugin and switch to Twenty Sixteen Theme. If it then works the problem is caused by an incompatibility with the theme you’re using. Let me know, which theme you use.
If it’s not caused by the theme please switch back to your theme and deactivate all plugins but the 404page plugin. If it then works the problem is caused by an incompatibility with on of the plugins you’re using.
In that case please reactivate all plugins one by one and test each step. Let me know, which plugin causes the problem.
After finishing the tests you can donwload 404page version 1.4 from https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/404page.1.4.zip and use this version until the problem can be solved.

ich habe mir das von Dir verwendete Theme Vantage installiert und bei mir funktioniert es tadellos. Es scheint also ein Kompatibilitätsproblem mit einem anderen Plugin zu geben. Wenn Du die Ursache herausfinden könntest, dann versuche ich, das Problem zu lösen.
Bitte deaktiviere alle Plugins bis auf 404page und teste noch einmal einen 404. Dann sollte es funktionieren.
Aktiviere dann bitte ein Plugin nach dem anderen und teste es jedes Mal. Lass mich wissen, bei welchem Plugin der Fehler auftritt und ich sehe es mir an.

In reply to: [Smart Custom 404 Error Page] Doesn't load my 404 page@choicesnz: I’ve downlaoded and installed the latest version of CyberChimps Responsive theme and it works without any problems on my server. Maybe there’s a conflict with another plugin you’re using. If you could find out which one is causing the problem, I’ll try to fix it.
Please install v 2.0 again and deactivate all other plugins. If it then works, it’s obviously a plugin compatibility issue.
Reactivate all your plugins one by one and test the 404 page at every step. Please let me know which plugin causes the problem.
