In reply to: [The Events Calendar] “Latest Past Events” shows OLDEST past eventsJust tried the 6.8.1 update and the issue appears to be fixed: when there are no current evens,t the latest past events are showing in descending order with the most recent being first. YES! Thank you one and all. Much appreciated.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] “Latest Past Events” shows OLDEST past eventsWe are having the exact same problem. Updating to 6.8 did not solve the problem. Rollback to 6.71 did not solve the problem. So, we rollbacked to 6.70 which did solved the problem and will stay there until you issue a fix. We cannot have our visitors seeing events from 2011 as the latest past events. They need to see what our 2024 past events are. SOooooooo, here’s hoping you create a FIX really SOON.

Hey Kris. Thank you for the clarifications. I uninstalled and all my corrected links stayed corrected.
The problem is now fixed. No more deprecated notices. But just to let you know it was only fixed as a result of the most recent October updates. Thanks.
The last update did the trick. No more deprecated messages. Thank you so much Darian. It was worth the wait!
So sorry to report BUT the update did not fix the problem. Still receiving
“Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property Tribe__PUE__Plugin_Info::$zip_url is deprecated in /home/lawren46/public_html/WordPress/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Plugin_Info.php on line 80”
Here’s my line 80
$info->$key = $value;Do you know why the deprecation changed from line 509 to line 80? What impact do these deprecation issues have on my website? How do I resolve them?
Okay more follow up. The scan is complete and here is a new deprecated notice.
Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property Tribe__PUE__Plugin_Info::$zip_url is deprecated in /home/lawren46/public_html/WordPress/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Plugin_Info.php on line 80
Feels like I’m playing Whac-a-Mole. Help!
Well that crashed my site. I used recovery mode and found the following notice in the plug in
An error of type
E_COMPILE_ERRORwas caused in line178of the file/home/lawren46/public_html/WordPress/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Checker.php. Error message:Cannot redeclare Tribe__PUE__Checker::$validate_queryI am not an experienced coder but here a cut and paste of what I added. Did I do something wrong?
*/ private static $stats = []; private $validate_query = []; /**Thanks Darian. I have added the line and initiated a new scan of the site. Will let you know the outcome. So, I would much appreciate if you can hold this open a while longer, Thanks.
Thank you for the reassurance. That makes perfect sense to me.
The ticket url I referred to is: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/what-happens-to-the-corrected-links-after-uninstalling-the-plugin/
Why would Zafer – WPMU DEV Support say: “Those fixes and changes will be available only when the plugin is active and it will be reverted back to the original values when deactivated or deleted.” ?????????????
Who to believe?
PHP v 8.2
The Events Calendar Version 6.1.3
The Events Calendar Pro Version 6.1.1
INMotion Hosting
Thanks Darian. I was running PHP 8.2. I downgraded to 8.1, cleared the cache, ran a new WordFence scan and still got the deprecated notice. Downgraded to 8.0 repeated the process but still got the deprecated notice.
If it is of any help, we have another site where we got the same exact notice (May 12). Since that time, future WordFence scans do not include the deprecation notice. Cannot figure out what is different between the two sites.
Here’s that notice:
[May 12 11:05:34:1683903934.547380:1:error]
Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property Tribe__PUE__Checker::$validate_query is deprecated in wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Checker.php on line 509
<brSince downgrading PHP didn’t clear things up, I am going to go back to PHP 8.2 and wait for whatever comes of you filing an internal ticket. If you need more, please let me know. Thank you for you ongoing assistance.
Trying to figure out how loorlab’s response relates to my question?
Mine is in
the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Checker.php on line 509Do I need to do anything about the code I am receiving?

In reply to: [Show Pages IDs] Update to 1.3.1 broke my siteInstalled version 1.3.2 and our site is working perfectly now. Thank you so much for the quick fix. I never imagined that a plugin we didn’t have would cause the conflict. Great problem solving. Really appreciate your hard work and generosity.
