@lannyma thank you so much! The issue was changing the DNS servers on my hosting account from Dreamhost! Now my localsite is live exactly how I needed and wanted it to be.

cubercolour: Yes I know about the web hosting. That’s where I’m lost because I was told to purchase an account at Dreamhost, which I did and I supposedly should have been able to get things set up there.
gazelle101: my site is not local on wordpress.com it’s live.
I just began building my site locally on ww.wp.xz.cn
tsiger: Ah.. That would make a difference as I did not know that. One of my friends has adsense and initially told me he created his site on wordpress, so of course as a newbie I’m going to assume wordpress.com but didn’t realize he meant ww.wp.xz.cn

So with that being said, any suggestions on where to look or what I can do in terms of getting my local ww.wp.xz.cn site onto my life site?
That’s the issue I’m having. I already paid for my domain on wordpress.com so I’m not exactly sure what to do.
