In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache - WordPress Cache Plugin] Is this plugin GDPR compatible?Hello Emre Vona,
However there is one important issue you need to tackle. Many sites use your fantastic plugin however cookie notification with EU geotargeting won’t work with your plugin. The cookie notification should only show up in EU regions since that is where GDPR is applicable.
As explained in the link below:
“Caching plugins do not usually work with server geo-location; they take a βsnapshotβ (cache) of a page when it is first visited and all subsequent visitors see the same snapshot. If the first visitor was from Germany then the snapshot will include the cookie bar and your visitor from US will be served this snapshot and also see the cookie bar.”

However, Comet Cache or WP Super Cache do have extensions that can resolve this problem.
How do you plan to address this issue?
Hi wrigs1,
Thanks for making that post about GDPR and cookies. Your method indeed works. I tested your site.
However, I have a few questions:
1. Using both of these plugins, no cookies (third party ads, analytics etc) will be stored at all before consent is given. Am I right?
2. Your implementation doesn’t have a refuse button. Why is that?
3. What will happen if the user takes no action i.e. neither accepts or refuses the notice?
4. Is there a way change consent after a specific consent is given?
Thank you so much for your help!

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Is this plugin GDPR compatible? Thanks for the feature. Just a few questions:
1. GDOR is related to EU regions. Other regions don’t need this feature. How is the plugin handling this?
2. Is the plugin giving the user two options for Accept/Decline cookie?
3. Is there a way to change consent?
4. Unless consent is given the AMP plugin won’t store any cookies (from third party ads, google analytics etc). Am I right in assuming this?
Hello!
Can the plugin author please confirm? π
Thanks!

Hey David,
Sorry for the lack of response. I wanted to ask whether this plugin uses any user data? Basically GDPR is all about visitors privacy. So just wondering if this plugin does anything related to that?
Hello!
Thanks for your reply. I have many such posts that I want to shift to the new URL structure. The problem I am facing is to create a logic that states if pid =44 then it should go to /2 or if pid=45 it should go to /3 and so on.
The Next Gen Gallery allocates dynamic query based on image id (pid). So what code should I write in .htaccess so that it accordingly jumps to the right page?
Any help here will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
