In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Call to undefined function wp_cache_get()..??Also fixed the issue by deleting the wp-content/w3tc-config/ folder, after that 4.7.2 asked to do a database upgrade.

That is what I thought inicially, Marcus, but maybe someone else can confirm this, DirectoryPress doesn’t add a “locations” post type as such, I am wondering if there is anything in locations that is particular of Event Manager.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Page cache not expiringGood to hear that, the fork I installed was prior to the release of the official 0.9.2.5, although it may have been already out as a dev or nightly version, thanks for clarifying.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Page cache not expiring@wp-fan, is that forked version different from the official update that fixes the security issue with db caching? if so, this is going to be a maintenance problem.
Coming from the thread I opened here, locations work well with Twenty Twelve. It is just DirectoryPress that is not playing with Events Manager.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] When the plugin empty the cache automatically?gendif, if I understand the functioning of the Garbage collector, it should clean after 1h (if a visit triggers wp-cron) if you have the default setting at 3600 sec. I am facing the same problem even if with a cron job running wp-cron. Please help!

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Page cache not expiringThis is exactly what I am facing, have you found a solution? I have setup a proper cron job to trigger wp-cron and I can see (through the cron view plugin) that the hooks for W3TC are being run (page, db and object) but I don’t get the GC to purge the pages every hour, I have to do that manually. Probably I will end up registering an action to do this.
Hello Marcus, no, I have no caching plugin activated. I resorted to just not having locations link anywhere on site, I had to put the location information in the single event post.
Oh by the way, agelonwl, I changed the pages but it didn’t make any difference.
Some more information
Changing the slugs for events (an I assume categories also) its working.
But for locations it is not. I think this is related to the problem with the 404 I am getting. If I change the slug to something else, the links for locations won’t reflect it. If I type it directly in the URL bar it will revert to the “location” slug.
I am willing to let someone with knowledge access my test site as admin and check it out.
sorry, forgot to add, if I type the new slug directly in the URL bar, it will not work.
@agelonwl, will do and report back.
@marcus, I change and save, everything ok, but when I go to an event (from the Events listing within WP admin) the URL keeps pointing to the previous slug. Click the link, I am able to see that no problems, go to the location link and it still shows again the previous slug.
