I did look a the ampps.com and there is no info on this issue. I didn’t see anything that I could have done wrong. In fact the installation went OK and at the end reported that the Mysql was running. However, the Apache was not.

I tried IE and the installation did not give me any errors. I will try rossmitchel’s suggestion and post the question on the ampps support forum.

I tried to follow the instructions given at ampps.com and when I tried to go to AMPPS Home I got the error:
This webpage is not available (referring to localhost/ampps
and then:
Google Chrome’s connection attempt to localhost was rejected. The website may be down, or your network may not be properly configured.
How do I configure the host? (I’m using a wireless network and WIn8.1)
