OK that seemed to have worked. I uploaded everything but the wp-content directory.

Although, I am confused about something.

I used the 3.5-RC4 build that is available to download from the WordPress Archives…

Why does it still say to upgrade my site to 3.5.2 still?? What is the RC4 build anyway. Would that be 3.5.4 or is that just a version of 3.5.2??

Thanks for the other info, it was better than getting a backup from my host installed. I knew it had to be easy, but wasn’t sure what.

    It is going to this:

    /wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2F

But the page that shows is the 404 Error page saying it is not found… on the front end. The only part of the link that changes, regardless of the link I click on in the top admin bar, is what is after the ‘?’… this link is when I go to the Dashboard.

How do I reverse this or do a manual manipulation of the what is redirecting?? Because something happened, that is not right.

In reply to: Undoing an update

I just did an update, but did not do any backups. I have never had any problems before, but this update broke my ability to get to the WP-Admin portion of the site.

My site works, but whenever I try to go to anything that is in the Admin back section, the site goes to my block and the ‘page not found’ error. It is like going to a post page that doesn’t exist. The URL says upgrade core is the new permanent page that everything in the Admin section redirects to.

How do I undo this stupid update that obviously does not work??

    Thanks.
