I ended up de-activating Co-Authors Plus and installing Custom Author Byline plugin. However I am not sure if I will continue doing this as I would ideally like to fix the author.php file so that it pulls each co-authors description, image and an archive of their posts, which I’m not sure can be done when a separate page has been created for each author/co-author.
