Is there any way to have admin / moderators remove this post? Obviously this is not a comfortable place to be a part of the community which supports each other – and I would prefer this was just removed so I don’t have to deal with being harassed over having questions any longer.
You obviously have never been in a high-time-pressure situation. Again – let me bow down to your reading skills… I would have time to read everything too if I wasn’t so busy DOING. I’m in a time crunch – and you just want to harass me. Bravo to you.

There, now you have it. Please scamper away to someplace else and stop wasting my time. And BTW – obviously you don’t have a lot of business experience if you weren’t able to comprehend what a board is. The company is non-profit, that means there is a board that votes on what goes on the website, what policies are put in place for the company, etc. They had to let someone else go because of it taking months to have things fixed – I am trying to help get everything resolved, but due to past experience, there is not a lot of time for trying to figure out the 7 different plugins they are using, and how they all work. Thus the reason I don’t have time for someone like you.
Anyway, I’m just going to hire someone with experience in these plugins. The saddest part is – before you started to act like such a jerk – I had actually considered offering to hire you for it. Now I think someone would have to be totally stupid to hire you for anything. Last I checked, I prefer people to act professionally.
WOW KTS915 – so, if you are going to have an attitude about it, please don’t “help” me any longer. Your kind of help isn’t helpful at all… instead it makes me want to avoid forums completely.
For your information, you gave me the fix – I did it, and now when testing that fix and it worked, I decided to try files as well and found that PDF files are still accessible. (I decided to try it BECAUSE of your question…) I DID answer your question, and by all means, please forgive me for expanding upon it. If you don’t have something helpful to say – please don’t say anything at all! Yes, I’m reading through the documentation (can you be any ruder! I’m sure you can, by the way you flipped out – it seems in your nature).
I took over this site just recently – and the “board” that controls all decisions for the company is stressing out because of problems with this and other issues occurring with the sites functionality.
I’m reaching out to ask for help because of the pressure I am under to have answers for plugins I didn’t set up originally, and haven’t used before, immediately. I guess for some stupid reason – I thought that was what using the forums and asking for help from other people who might have experience with it… was for. Thanks for giving me a bad taste for the forum, and the people involved in it.
KTS – thank you so much for your help. I have made that change as you suggested. However, I went into a separate browser and entered a URL for a .pdf file someone would have a link to if they log into that page, and it still pulls up. Would this change just made keep links to that pdf file from coming up in a search return, and is there any way to force someone to be logged into access the .pdf file as well? (I hope this makes sens?)

both posts and pages that are created can be accessed, even though restricted to a certain membership level – when the URL is entered instead of going through the site. They are also coming up in search engine results, and can be accessed directly by clicking on them.
When going through the site – it is only accessible if logged in and your account has the correct credentials.
