Made my own post about this recently, but want to add my support to this one. WordPress has so many wonderful themes and I know we shouldn’t dig our heels into the past, especially as there are many things that are very outdated with Twenty Fourteen. I still think it is one of the best themes ever made –perhaps a new updated version could be created that follows the original as closely as possible while having better block support? There is no theme quite like this one. Please do not let it die off. I’ll be happy to pitch in monetary support for volunteers and I am sure I am not the only one.

In reply to: [Ultimate Lightbox] Random images added to lightboxI am also experiencing cwgservices’s issue (similar) and have ever since I began using the plug in long ago. One of my galleries has just one image. But not only do the arrows show up regardless (confusing) but the images it sends the user to are whatever is the next or prior image in my media library. Or rather, whatever galleries are on my site: the forward and backward buttons are going forward and backward among all the “galleried” images that exist on my site. I tried adding the recommended selector and it didn’t work. But adding it to my 15k images in all my galleries would be a non starter anyway. Any suggestions?
FYI I don’t see the X button, either, because it is hidden by my admin bar. It is too high. So I placed them on the bottom, but it’s not very user intuitive I fear, and they are so low, they may be missed.

Hey Yani, I have a follow-up question. I’m starting to realize that I am confused about terms. As I now understand it, a backup is to restore a site to the original location. I want to be able to regularly migrate my squelfland.com (hosted by WordPress.com) site to https://squelfland.subrosian.com/ (hosted in our local server). I know there will be hiccups: in the local copy, my Jetpack enabled features won’t work. But, things like whatever URL replacements need to occur in the database, etc, I need a one-click way to handle this. Is your plugin a solution for me in this regard? Do I need a license both for squelfland.com and for my local copy? I guess that would make it cost prohibitive since I am struggling with one license, but if one solved my problem, I’ll probably pull the trigger on it.
Hey Yani,
I understand. I figure if my partner who is a dev and well versed on this stuff couldn’t easily figure it out after hours of trying it probably wouldn’t be something you could help with given how specific server settings can be.
Let me ask you a question if you don’t mind. I really need a restore option that is perfect: one click done, something I can do weekly, maybe multiple times a week. I need my site to look as it does on WordPress.com (where I backed up from) with the only exception being the plug-ins that are part of my Business plan which will naturally not work or transfer. Barring issues due to that, let’s say I do buy the plugin and I am unable to restore my blog properly without having to manually update stuff in my database and theme customizations, etc. Would this entitle me to a refund? I may bite the bullet as long as I know that, should it not work for me, I could get a refund.
I’ve been trying different alternatives for about 2 weeks. Very little sleep. If I do go with you guys, I would need at least that assurance. I’m a freelance illustrator so the cost of the plugin amounts to several full days of work for me.

In reply to: [Ultimate Lightbox] Exclude specific galleries and/or pages?Hi there, thank you so much for the response. I’m not very CSS savvy, so I don’t really understand what you mean, but with a little more guidance I can probably figure it out.
These are all galleries and not individual images. From what I understand, what you are telling me to do would require me to edit each gallery individually. I’d have to edit multiple thousand galleries across my blog to assign them all a CSS class via the editor (with the exception of the ones I want to exclude). Even if they have a CSS class now, the galleries I want to exclude would have that class as well.
If I could have the plugin *exclude* a class, than I could easily edit the galleries I want to exclude to add a class, and exclude that class. But the other way around is not doable. At that point I could just go and individually edit all galleries, and activate “lightbox” in them, but the impossibility of such an enormous task is why I looked for this plug in in the first place.
Did I misunderstand something perhaps?
