In reply to: Is it really WordPress?Hi Sarkut, I must apologise for my very badly worded post – I don’t mean to question your claim that you wrote it in JavaScript yourself!
Where I wrote, ‘I’ve seen similar calculators elsewhere, if you look at the page source it always seems to make reference to dq_estimate_wizard.cfm’
I should have clarified to what I was referring, viz. ‘I’ve seen similar calculators elsewhere, if you look at the page source on those sites it always seems to make reference to dq_estimate_wizard.cfm’
Sorry for any confusion!
Oh how frustrating, I’ve spent weeks tweaking this and couldn’t remember what to redo if I needed to!
I used to have an html editor (can’t remember the name) that would compare two files and highlight any differences; looks like that is going to be the way forward here so we can decide if an upgrade is worth it and/or to make the changes manually ourselves.

In reply to: Is it really WordPress?Diogo15, I’ve seen similar calculators elsewhere, if you look at the page source it always seems to make reference to dq_estimate_wizard.cfm and I’d guess DQ is these people: http://www.designquote.net/html/dq_estimate_wizard.cfm
I’ve no desire to suggest who did it first or if anyone copied anyone, but it would seem there’s a script out there somewhere that will do it for you without the need to create your own forms.
Re the post title – no, I had no idea that was a wordpress site! I think it’s very attractive and didn’t realise such a theme existed. Although running my screen resolution (1366×768) I only saw the very top lines of the three boxes and IMO it would have more impact if these loaded more prominently on the screen’s first impression. Can’t cater for all screens of course.
Ok, sounds like you’re sorted but if you still want to have larger images displayed on the individual pages than the TV screen (but still fit perfectly), I found 600×340 somehow/somewhere (I forget!) works well.
If I’ve explained badly take a look at http://www.ents-unltd.com and click on a band name to see what I mean.
I wish MidPhase would publish a changelog for each minor update, or even just change the date stamp of each individual file they update within the zip.
I’m running a stable but heavily altered v1.0.12 (I know, I know, ‘child themes’…) and probably won’t change it until someone screams ‘security issue’.
Steve, which images are you talking about? I haven’t read all the code you posted to see if it makes reference, but you can get the image sizes for most of the included ones (eg the computer display and what goes in it) from the CSS file or using a browser such a Firefox and clicking View Page Info -> Media (sadly Safari seems not to offer this very useful facility).
