In reply to: Automatic Website Update NightmareThanks for the advice so far. However, as I only use my website from a content management point of view and did not put it together I really only understand some of the jargon being used and although I get the concept I don’t actually know where to start to implement any of it. 🙁 I’m also hesitant to tinker and make the website worse than it already is as I really won’t have a clue to fix that either.
If I restore my last backup via my hosting platform cpanel will that restore the earlier WP version and the background images etc or could there still be a bug remaining from this current upgrade?
I can see from http://support.progressionstudios.com/ that there have been issues with the sliders and background images but can’t register without a payment code as I didn’t buy the theme myself. Is there a way round this to see if I can ask for help on that forum?

In reply to: Automatic Website Update NightmareI am a complete layman when it comes to coding. So where exactly do I place WP codex info to turn off auto updates?
Thanks.

In reply to: Automatic Website Update NightmareThe upgrade I’ve had has effected my site so that the background images I have on my pages do not show up when someone is viewing the site so it looks incomplete. On screen you just get a swirling timer which is searching for the images. When I check the detail for each page the background images are listed in the right section but I’m assuming maybe some coding has changed so there is no link to the images. Do I need to re-upload them or adjust my page info or can it require more in depth sorting out. I can forward the site address so you can see for yourself what is happening?
