You found the answer. It seems so simple once it’s presented. Thank you so much! Your plugin and help has been greatly appreciated. I have sent you a donation. Thanks again!
It appears that the culprit plugin is “Tuxedo Big File Uploads”.
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/tuxedo-big-file-uploads/#developersAny chance you might be able to tell me what exactly might be interfering in the code? Also, any chance you might have an alternate way/code/plugin that will batch large file sizes that are above my 200mb size limit? I need to be able to map these fields but also still be able to load larger files.
Thanks so much!
Hmm it looks like my clean install works fine. So I guess it might be from another plugin maybe? Do you know if any of these plugins do not play nice with yours:

Thank you so much for the quick reply!
Yes, you got it correct when asking about the different upload options. When trying to add a photo from the “Upload new media” button. From there you can just drag an image over the window OR push the “Select Files” button. Either way, the image data doesn’t get updated the way we would like it mapped. This is also true from the edit post page…. The only way it does seem to work is if you go directly to the Media Library, push “Add new” from the sub-munu options which takes you to the media-new.php page and then select the “browser uploader” if it is not already selected. From there you will need to “Choose File” and then press upload. Then the image mapping works!
I have tried with both the “Enab;e IPTC/EXIF Mapping when updating media metadata” option on and off with no difference.
I’m using a pretty new WordPress install with the latest version. I’m not sure what other information I can give you at this time. Please let me know. I will try to create a new install just in case there is any other custom settings that might be effecting your plugin – I’ll let you know the outcome in a little while. Meanwhile, let me know if you have any other ideas/questions.
Hello WAP Support,
Thank you for the quick reply! Hmm the theme does not allow for a public admin bar and we use no other plugins that customize this area. It seems to happen randomly and it’s never the user’s actual name that appears within the bar on the right hand side (normally if you are signed in, you would see your account name there) but it will display another user name. Once anyone tried to click on a link within the admin bar (if it appears for them at all), they get directed to the login page.
Our web developers have asked me to ask you if a cookie is set when utilizing this plugin? If so, there is a particular cache path exclusion that needs to be added?
Thank you for this and any other information you might be able to provide to help with this issue.
Thanks!
Thank you WAP support for your reply,
I do not have any other plugins that deal with customizations of the admin bar or any other public facing pages.
I see the “Site pages: Admin bar customizations” option but that also removes the admin but for authenticated users, which is not what I want. I believe there is still a bug with your plugin, dealing with the admin bar. Perhaps it has something to do with caching issues on the server side and your plugin?
If you are able to look into this, that would be great.
Thank you!
